the definition of disabled

When I look at my son, I see a happy, healthy 3 year old boy.  A boy who loves sports, who would rather be outside than inside.  A boy with a sense of humor and a wry smile.  A boy who puts his leg on when he wants to run and play standing up.  A boy who takes his leg off when he wants to play mini hockey on his knees.  I look at him and see desire, motivation and drive.  I never look at him and see a disability.  Ever.

This TED talk by Aimee Mullins discusses the notion of disabled and how much of an impact a label can have on an individual.  I invite you to watch and comment below on your thoughts.
